Hmmm....don't be too sure it's her own. I have some bonded extensions in mine, to add volume to my long but very fine hair. I have nice blunt ends too.

Maybe the hairdresser puts it in a ponytail, and then cuts it, rather than that thing they do with the fingers where they go round and round cutting it shorter and shorter...if it is all the same distance from your head, then when it's clumped together in a ponytail, some bits are bound to look longer.
