Beanie with bit of veiling...Why do I want one?!

For some reason, I have an obsession with owning a beanie hat with veiling tacked on - sort of 'casual funeral attire'. Confused

Does anyone have one? Or just talk me out of it.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Did you dream it?!!

I just switched to the desktop site to see the picture.

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!! That is hilariously terrible.

Binman chic meets Dita VonTeese.

Beeyump · 15/01/2014 16:02

I didn't dream it! Look at the picture!

I think you would look positively traffic stopping in that bee.

Buy one immediately, we should all be wearing glorious hats!!

Beeyump · 15/01/2014 16:06

Grin I do have a bit of a hat thing.

I know someone with one, she looks FANTASTIC in it

post · 15/01/2014 16:08

She usually wears the veiling pushed back/ up a bit though, so it's over her forehead rather than whole face. Like a fringe?

Beeyump · 15/01/2014 16:12

I have a fringe already. But I could have two! Good idea, good idea.

I'm so glad you know someone who actually owns one btw, post!

I believe the next Cher Lloyd or Katie Waissel would be given one on X Factor.

Unless you are 18 look a bit like Rita Ora and 'kooky' don't do it.

TheBuskersDog · 15/01/2014 16:53

What's the point of the netting? Nobody wears hats with nets on unless at a wedding or funeral, I suppose if you're standing graveside at a winter funeral it could be OK.

uptheanty · 15/01/2014 19:51

Where can I buy one? My dd has seen this thread and is desperate!?

Beeyump · 15/01/2014 20:05

Urban Outfitters have one in the sale. I described the hat to my friend over dinner, and was heartily, mercifully put off. Sigh.

Why did I even look at this thread. I did not want a beanie with a veil, I have seen a few (Miley Cyrus) and have never thought "Yeah I'd rock that". But I've just seen that pink one and I now need one

uptheanty · 15/01/2014 20:17

Be brave eating & don't tell your friends - they'll all be copying you once they see yours, but they'll talk you out of it beforehand - like they did bee

EatingAllTheCrumpets · 15/01/2014 20:21

uptheanty the sad thing is they wouldn't talk me out of it.... I will resist googling a pink veiled beanie, I'll empty the dishwasher and hope that the idea floats away!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 15/01/2014 20:23

Link pleas

Beeyump · 15/01/2014 20:52

Well, here's one...FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF £85

OP posts:
Beeyump · 15/01/2014 20:54

And there seems to be a few on Etsy, Asos etc. I feel rather Sad at being talked out of it.

diddlediddledumpling · 15/01/2014 20:57

I think you should get it. But you can't ever wear it without lipstick, that would be wrong.

uptheanty · 15/01/2014 21:00

Buy it bee.... Your sensible friend will watch you glide past with your hat & morange lipstick and wistfully wish she was brave like you......
