Bobbi Brown v. MAC for foundation - opinions/cost?

I normally use Bobbi Brown foundation in either Porcelain or Alabaster - and usually their BB cream for day to day use.

I need new stuff soon

But we have a lovely shiney new MAC store just opened, and I'm already drawn by the lovely eyeshadow colours!

So, foundation wise, is MAC any good, do they go as pale as Bobbi Brown and how much is it?

I use MAC face and body foundation, and love it as its nice and sheer but buildable.

MAC eyeshadows are great value as they are so pigment packed that they last forever

im also a fan of mac face and body foundation also their mineralize moisture foundation as well
their eye shadows last for ages colourwise
but i still love bobbi browns shimmer bricks

I've got the Mac BB cream - love it! Do book a makeup session with them if you're going to buy anything, £30 redeemable against products - I learned loads.

It might depend on whether you are pink or yellow toned- as well as pale.
My DD has changed to Mac who assessed her as pink toned, and her foundation is far too pink for me. I use BB Porcelain but have to go up to Warm Ivory in the Skin Foundation as there is a difference in shades between foundations.

Erm, I'm probably more pink toned than yellow - certainly I can't wear bronzer as it looks too yellow on me. Possibly...

My DD is too pale to use BB Porcelain - she was using a Dainty Doll one- but has found a MAC one she likes - one of the Studio ones .
What kind of foundation do you like? It may also depend on your skin and the coverage you want. I use the BB skin foundation and like it but it does need a couple of layers.

BTW- there is a good Mac video- youtube type of thing- on their foundations. I can't link but found it by accident- it covers all their foundations and shows them on the face. Might not be made by Mac - someone's beauty blog- but it is helpful.

Just out of MAC and they're amazing.

Love their BB cream - it feels better than the Bobbi Brown version; will see how it lasts though!
