I am short (5foot2) I NEED a dress for a wedding in February. HELP!

Where do I look?

The wedding is in 4 weeks! I thought I'd found a couple of great dresses online (1950s style with nipped in waist and full skirts) but they didn't for and I'm done with online shopping as I'm wasting money on postage.

I'm short but reasonably slim (size 8-10).
I have a long body and little legs.
Fair skin and pixie crop brown hair.

Oh and if I can wear it again for SIL's wedding in the summer that would be brilliant! :)

French Connection? I'm the same size as you, and some of my best dress buys are from there. The dress I wore to a January wedding last year was one if theirs.

I've never really clicked with FC - I don't think I've ever even owned any of their stuff. I'll have another look online now though. :)

FC isn't really grabbing me in general - too black.

Bella - I really don't like the print - sorry.

Budget is going to be under £70 as I'll need shoes, jacket/ wrap/ cover up and bag.

I like the idea of vintage.
I'm not keen on body con styles - I'd rather have a fuller skirt. I think I need something with a shape to it - rather than drapey iyswim.

Urgh!

Just had the most depressing shopping trip. :(
John lewis didn't have any of those brands in store, even their personal shopper didn't manage to find more than 4 thins for me to try on! the Nottingham
Branch is clearly still in the throws of the sale and has a much older clientele

I trawled debenhams, house of Fraser, Coast, oasis, warehouse, French connection, monsoon, next, new look, top shop and probably some others but my feet hurt too mch to think now.

I've ordered 4 dresses from JL online and am hoping praying that they're right.

Feeling rather grumpy now. And a bit sick from the large slab of chocolate cake in John lewis.

I ordered six dresses from JL which came yesterday, they are all going back. From House of Fraser four dresses and guess what? all of them are going back too .

Technically I've ordered 8 4 styles - each in an 8 and a 10.
