Can't find Ash virgin buckled high tops in my size anywhere! Are they passé now, daahling?!

I really want some but it's just impossible to find them in size 7. Is it just because it's winter or are they crap nowadays?

Don't know if they're passé - I suppose they were quite popular 12-13, but I still love mine. Last time I was in Italy, lots of shoe boutiques stocked Ash. So if you know anyone taking a trip ask them? By the way, they come up large so you might get away with a 6.

There's a few on ebay. I've been looking for some myself.

I think Ash are quite ruthless about getting rid of old stock and moving on with new styles, at least in the UK - just based on my own experience of trying to track down the pair of boots I have lusted after which were (shock, horror) from last year. None anywhere.

I found the pair I wanted on eBay in the end but it's taken months.

Weirdly I was googling these this afternoon as saw someone wearing some in Navy that I liked. Am planning to look out for some when I go to NY in March, but no help to you sorry

PS I have some Virgo ones, not the hi-tops, but they are easily the most comfy shoes of that style I've ever had. The leather is super-soft. So much comfier than Converse.

It's because they sell them in packs of ten and there's only ever one size 40 in each pack, and retailers can't re-order individual sizes, just the whole pack. As a shop owner it is very frustrating! I have insider information that this might be changing in the near future so it might be easier to get the size you want. They remain a best seller for us and i've bought them again for the coming season. So if you find some, grab them!

Question re Ash sizing, if I may? Do the Jalouse also come up big? If I'm a small UK5, will I get away with an Ash 4/37?

Yes, I always go down one size in them.
I have the brown and some metallic grey both quite a few years old and worn a lot.

i have the kurt geiger version in tan leather. best shoes i've ever owned.

i bought ash furry lined ones from next about a year ago, you could try there.

I do buy (and sell) branded stuff on eBay. I've seen enough of the real stuff (I stick to brands I know) to sniff out most fakes and tend to go for the worn-once-or-twice items from sellers with reliable track records. The once or twice I have ended up with fakes, I have called them on it and given feedback accordingly. [well 'ard emoticon]

Luckily my favoured Ash boots are slightly obscure and don't appear to have been counterfeited.

I also have the tan Kurt Geiger ones thanks to a thread here last year ? They are soooo comfy but even a 3 is big on me

I can vouch that the bricks and mortar shop for this not very slick looking website is totally genuine. They are not great at putting their stock online so might have other colours.
