Where can I get interesting but inexpensive wedding shoes?

Any suggestions? I think I might want either pale powdery pink, or pale/mint green - I'm trying on wedding dresses tomorrow so this might be a bit premature but I have a bit of a shoe 'thing' so keen to get ideas. I think I like these but iIm not sure I love them. Ideally something £150 or less (a lot less would be nice!) and not too high? Any suggestions, oh wise ones?

I absolutely love the ones you have linked to!!

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:09

Do you? im worried that I might get sore toes, I often do when i'm wearing peep toe heels, and it would make me super miserable if I ended up with blisters. I have however lost 6 stone since I last wore peep toes, and I have noticed that all the horrible thick skin on the soles of my feet is just about gone, so maybe im not working my feet as hard as I used to!

I'm also worried about the ankle strap giving me cankles - again, I have no idea what suits me anymore having lost weight.

I also love them! Could you order, if they give youca Kees then you will notice straight away and can return them.
If they look nice and you still love them, then you could where them for 20 min everyday in your house and that way they will be super comfy on the day. Smile

Dune? Coast? John Lewis?

Years ago when I got married I just picked up a cheap pair in BHS but I had a floor length dress so it didn't matter what shoes I had on.

I think pastels may be big news for spring/summer so if you can wait a bit there's bound to be loads of pale pink/green shoes in the shops soon.

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:16

There is a bridal (I think) shop about half an hour away from me, I could go and try them on there? I am a bit scared because its in a posh area, and I am so intimidated by posh shops and shop assistants! I think I do need to try before I buy, if only because I dont really know what size I am anymore, I seem to have lost half a shoe size in some places, and apparently they do come up big.

To be honest, it doesnt really matter what I wear on my feet as I really want a long dress, but I think it will give me a little thrill to know I have pretty shoes on!

I really hope youre right about the pastels QueenCadbury, i'm hoping to get 4 mint green bridesmaids dresses on the high street and am struggling a little so far.

Dresses for adults? Wait a bit and I'm sure that monsoon or coast will have something.

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:23

Yup, for adults... I am hoping not to pay more than £50 each for them but realise I may well be dreaming!

Just to say, I had Rachel Simpson shoes for my wedding recently (their shop is in Birmingham and they've v local to me) and they're v comfortable. I wore the Eva shoes on the day - I had a short dress so wanted something pretty. I also have a pair of the Mimi's (I think!) in ivory in a size 5 which I have forgotten to return. Whoops!

I'm usually nearer a 6 so they definitely come up a little large.

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:28

Thanks, thats really helpful to know. I might just bite the bullet and go and try them on, whats the worst that could happen?!

What size are you! I had a gorgeous pair of Benjamin Adams, and had them dyed mint green, currently looking to sell them Wink

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:33

Weeeell, in theory a 7, but now apparently a 6.5.

There's some mint dresses in BHS

MimsyBorogroves · 10/01/2014 14:37

I got married in a pair of Irregular Choice shoes with a small heel.

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 14:38

I saw those, but they were all over budget - not by much but when its 4 dresses, thats an extra £120 I hadnt planned on spending. Perhaps if I wasnt wasting money on shoes!

My MOH suggested this one but I wasnt sure if it was going to look cheap... and now I see that its sold out in all but a size 8, which is helpful!

The Rainbow Club does some great wedding shoes and they're pretty reasonable.

Normalisavariantofcrazy · 10/01/2014 15:01

I love irregular choice

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 15:03

A bit too dark Nerfmother, but thanks for the suggestion. Really not sure I am keen on Irregular choice, I want to love them but I just dont!

SuperDuper I just spent a few months searching for lovely colourful wedding shoes for myself, I knew they had to be a bright or pastel colour, but I couldn't find any!

And then I found Zalando and bought two pairs or shoes for my wedding, a pink polka dot high heeled pair, and a pale duck egg blue small heeled shoe, that I will change into when I have had enough of the heels and want to dance.

The arrived and are perfect!

overmydeadbody · 10/01/2014 15:11

I originally wanted Irregular choice ones but couldn't find a design that I loved.

I don't like the shoes in your link, I think straps don't look good on grown ups, but that is just my opinion.

Normalisavariantofcrazy · 10/01/2014 15:24

I want these! they also come in green

also like these

Blimey there's loads on that site I love! Have a look

SuperDuperJezebel · 10/01/2014 15:54

I like modcloth a lot, I bought a lovely maxi dress from there, but got stung with a massive customs charge so am loathe to use them again!
