DS needs to go in as the grand old duke of York next Monday. My idea was cheap tee/tunic with gold braiding sewn on cackhandedly

Just spent two and a half sodding hours looking round the shops. Nada. Help!

Next directory have them (part of a 3 pack irrc)

WowOoo · 09/01/2014 13:55

I got mine one from Zara.

PedlarsSpanner · 09/01/2014 13:55

Gap normally do plain longsleeve tees in red but £££

How about a Baselayer from Go Outdoors? Nb other outdoor stores would do just as well

??

They have them in Primark in the girls section, pretty unisex though.

meditrina · 09/01/2014 14:39

This might fail your definition of cheap but if you can't face the shops again it's a fall back.

Wingdingdong · 09/01/2014 14:40

H&M is usually good for plain cheap t-shirts for costumes.

SunnyRandall · 09/01/2014 14:41

Ebay usually have fruit of the loom long sleeved tops. Might not be quick enough postage for you though.

here

meditrina · 09/01/2014 14:41

Or if you think you might have call to reuse the costume, these pyjamas would save you the sewing

SunnyRandall · 09/01/2014 14:42

Fab pyjamas !!

tshirtsuntan · 09/01/2014 14:43

3 pack from mothercare value range, red, navy and a sort of mustardy one.

BitchyFestiveFace · 09/01/2014 14:54

Got a fantastic one from Uniqlo before Christmas, really soft and substantial. Don't know if they still have them though.

harryhausen · 09/01/2014 15:13

Next is always my fall back for plain t-shirts. I shop there both for dd and ds!

ProjectGainsborough · 09/01/2014 16:20

Meditrina, fab idea, thank you! I think I'm too late for delivery, but I bet my local Stately would have something similar. Never thought of that. And I loathe sewing...
