Elegant tan knee length boots for the short of leg

Please can anyone help me with this ... I am fed up of trying on knee length boots that are essentially too long for me. I am 5 ft 2, and all the boots I seem to find are about 15 or 15 and a half inches high, which means they hit at the knee, not at the top of the calf, and they are then too wide (and uncomfortable!) and look like wellies. Does anyone have any ideas about where I could look? I would be happy with a calf length boot, but haven't seen anything other than biker style, and I wanted something a bit more elegant, more of a riding boot. Many thanks

Could you get away with a child's size? That's what I had to do in the end (Geox kids, size 5) as not only are normal boots too long but they tend to flap around the calf, as you say.
They might be these ones; not sure as I bought them in a sale.

DUO boots Carvel, Santana and there are others. Ask them.

Second the recommendation for Duo - I emailed them with my specific measurements and they sent me a list of suitable boots. Not cheap, but I think I'm about to hit my second year wearing them and they're never off my feet.

Love them.

Thank you great suggestions had never thought of looking at children's but will give that a go before I look to invest in duo. Thanks all

I'll admit to a certain amount of bluster along the lines of 'If they fit me, I expect they'll fit my daughter just fine...' as I took them to the till.
