Do you think the Body Shop ginger shampoo would be a good substitute for Philip Kingsley Itchy Flaky Shampoo?

Because at £20 a bottle, it's an expensive habit. But without it, my scalp feels gross

TIA!

I dont know what the philip kingsley shampoo is like but i do use the body shop ginger one and love it. I used to use expensive bed head shampoos, then whilst on holiday had to use timotei, I loved it, made my hair clean, smell lovely and didnt get as greasy or itchy as the bed head range.

I now switch between timotei (£1 in poundland) and the ginger body shop one for the smell. At £6 a bottle i think if i was you id give it a try, you could end up saving money in the long run if its good for you Smile

I'd stick with the Philip Kingsley if it suits you
I wouldn't use a cheap shampoo on my hair - or a medium cheap one like Bed Head - personally . Think you tend to get what you pay for.
But I know lots of people would disagree and think I'm foolishly extravagant!

Is the Philip Kingsley sulphate free? Is that what stops the itching?

My daughter had awful problems with a dry scalp, tried everything and Philip Kingsley was the only thing that really sorted it out.

I've had a similar problem and the giner one didn't work. Now off to try the Philip Kingsley one. Can anyone tell me who stocks it?

ProjectGainsborough · 07/01/2014 18:46

Thanks all. M&S sell it, or you might google as some online stockists are having sales - sure I saw it for £16 somewhere or other, although I can't find the damn link now.

I find the Body Shop ginger one sooo much better than the Philip Kingsley. The PK one stripped my hair of colour and left it dry and scalp mildly itchy, whilst the BS one leaves my scalp and hair moisturised and swooshy!
