Hi, I'm looking for a nice pair of boots - hopefully in the sales.

Don't mind if they're ankle or knee high - I wear a lot of skinny jeans, high waisted shorts and short skirts. I'm only 5ft2/3ish so not averse to a heel.
I'm 24,a student and mum to a 2 year old (also 38 wks pg).
I usually wear floral print dms or converse for walking the dogs and just generally but I'd like something smarter and a bit sleeker.

I've reserved a pair of these to try on in clarks
www.clarks.co.uk/p/20356962 - will they suit me?
And also the national spice.

Thanks in advance.

I got a pair of Clark's boots for xmas (I picked them) I always were skinny jeans and these boots are fab with them also tights and shorts and minis too, I can't put a pic on but there the Lisbon black long boot there so comfy and I can't believe I picked boots from Clark's as I thought it was for kids and old people Wink

I know - that's how I felt about clarks Blush. But I'm getting sick of shoes that hurt my feet (narrow and have high arches).
But I really like the ankle boots and thought I'd give them a try at least.

My feet are the same really narrow with high archShock but there so so comfy normally like you I'm in converse or uggs and wanted something a bit different but river islands boots would cripple me lolGrin

I bought these, really nice. Look fab with skinnies or skirts. Bargain in the sale! They are so comfy!

Oh wallpaperaddict I really like thoseSmile do they feel really high on?? I don't do heels and on a night out I always end up bare footed Wink

wallpaperaddict · 07/01/2014 14:11

weelady no they don't feel high on! And the insole is all cushiony so they feel really supportive too. I have a high arch so heeled shoes can really make my feet ache, but not these! I do 2 mile school run in them few times a week!

wallpaper those are really nice. The heel doesn't seem too high either.

Enormous, the picture of the boots that you have reserved isn't great imo but I saw them in the shop and they were much nicer in reality. The picture doesn't do them justice.

I like the ankle ones very much and think they will nice with skinnies or shorts.

I have last years version of the national sprice and honestly, although they are super comfy, they are a bit clumpy. They look good with jumper dresses I think but I don't wear them with skinnies as I think an ankle or tighter knee length boot looks better. I'm the same height as you if that helps.

enormouse · 07/01/2014 15:10

Thanks MrsPeacock that does help quite a bit. I have a pair of skinnies that still fits so I'll wear those when I go to try them on. Am currently avoiding jumper dresses as I've got to the stage where I look like an egg on sticks when I wear them.

And thanks to everyone that's offered advice and opinions.
