i love those office dress codes - 'no beachwear: vests, sleeveless thsirts, shorts, flip flops, sarongs, swim costume cover-ups or swim costumes.'

i once worked in the legal department of a conservative securities firm and we had a temp who work bike shorts w/a sleeveless tshirt to work.

yeah, she lasted a long time. not.

Malory, your Style Guru status may have been irrepairably damaged...

expatinscotland · 25/07/2006 15:56

Malory
You are ONLY supposed to wear those whilst exiting the spa after your pedicure. To get into a taxi, of course.

I have flat gladiator style sandals on but not the common cheapo ones that strap up your legs

OP posts:
Bozza · 25/07/2006 15:58

expatinscotland · 25/07/2006 15:58

[restores Malory's Guru status at news of home office - had terrible visions high-powered corporate banker in sharp wool suit... and £1.75 flipflops]

flat gladiator style would not suit my stumpy legs. I have Next £25 peep toe black heels on.

Northerner · 25/07/2006 15:59

I'm wearing flip flops to the office. Most of us do here. But we are a trendy, minimalist office dahlings and can get away with it.

Our MD is wearing his slippers today. I kid you not.

MrsBadger · 25/07/2006 16:03

I am not allowed bare toes at work (boo hiss health & safety) so am wearing these but in tan.
wedge does cause mild chipolata-toe... but not visible so doesn't matter.

CheesyFeet · 25/07/2006 16:04

I've got my toe post birkie-type things on today. They are black leather with little flowers on them, from Evans. Our office is fairly casual but this may be pushing the envelope methinks.

CheesyFeet · 25/07/2006 16:05

Oooh MrsB they're lovely .

Am fond of a wedge heel myself.

expatinscotland · 25/07/2006 16:05

what is chipolata toe?

MrsBadger · 25/07/2006 16:09

nicked that from oliveoil - think of uncooked chipolata sausages all pink and sweaty and trussed up by a too-tight, too-narrow sandal strap, so they bulge and ooze over the edges...

cremolafoam · 25/07/2006 16:13

i have chipolata toe.aaaarrgh!
