Just that. Think 30, 3 dc- age 3.3 and 21 month old twins, a truly knackered stomach, so still resembling someone 20 weeks pregnant.

I though jeggings and baggy ish tunic would be The Answer. Got some m&s jeggings for Xmas, high waist to help disguise the gut- but they just fall down, constantly. I'm normally a size 10, tried 8&10 and 8 fitted better, but one wear and they're useless.

What should I buy instead?
All advice welcome :)

Bumping - would like to know too Smile

Uniqlo ones are good. I got a pair recently. You have to size down as wiht most jeggings but they are really comfy and I have worn them 3 times before washing no problem.

WeeTeaJenny · 07/01/2014 20:23

Im usually a size 10 but I'm wearing size 8 Asos maternity jeans
I can fit back into all my old size 10 jeans but I prefer the elastic waist band at top of Asos jeans plus they do them in loads if colours ( I've got acid wash )
So it's like jeggings but better at staying up cos of the elastic band ( they are not over bump style I hate that style )
So if you are a ten go for 8 for staying up power

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 07/01/2014 20:36

Thanks! I'll check both those out. Grin

Dorothy Perkins jeggings - I think they are called Eden.

TwatWeevil · 07/01/2014 20:44

Which M&S jeggings did you get? The 5-pocket denim ones are fab (I have a mum-tum myself).

Starballbunny · 07/01/2014 21:31

I'm a 16 not a 10, but M&S 5 pockets need a belt. They are very comfy, but they grow.

I've looked at Ubiquo, but I can't work out which are denim coloured leggings and which are a decent thickness.

DD2 is desperate for more jegings having destroyed both her red herring ones and Debenham's haven't had any more.

cerealqueen · 07/01/2014 22:07

I would try a belt too, or if you know how, thread some thick elastic round the waistband to tighten them up? You need non roll, cut on the inside of the waistband, attach enough elastic to a safety pin and thread through. I do this a lot to clothes that have rubbish elastic.

Starballbunny · 07/01/2014 22:12

What I really want is a source of the nice webbing and plastic rucksack buckle belts that come on men's shorts.

I pinch DHs sometimes and it's massively more comfortable and less bulky under a jumper than my pretty leather one.

BranchingOut · 08/01/2014 18:31

Have you tried the M&S pull on jeggings?

I tried the uniqlo cord ones and found the waist a bit low for me.

Weelady77 · 08/01/2014 19:09

River islands ones are fabby

CaptainCunt · 08/01/2014 19:23

Primark ones fall down but are comfy. Maybe a bit short. Flattering though.

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 08/01/2014 20:14

cerealqueen, ace idea! I'm hopeless at this sort of thing but my mother isn't... I'll plot for next time she visits :)

My m&s jeggings are the pull on ones, no belt loops.

If you're short then I would try the teens range in new look. Got the comfiest pair there for 3 quid!!

Skinheadmermaid · 08/01/2014 21:48

I got some decent ones from dorothy perkins, very comfortable and definately do not fall down.

Bluebell79 · 09/01/2014 10:57

I agree bought some in Dorothy Perkins the other week and I'm really please with them, got the grey and denim colour, I didn't need to size down like I normally do in other shops, they don't go baggy or fall down, have washed well on a short 30degree wash with the colour powder, not tumbled dried them. Pretty much lived in both pairs for the past month, like how they don't give me tummy ache from being too tight, infact I should probably go and get another pair,

mummylovescakes · 09/01/2014 11:27

I'd second the Eden jeggings from Dorothy Perkins here. They are fabulous and super comfy.

Guccidayoneday · 10/01/2014 16:20

I have two pairs of the Gok at sainsburys jeggings, they are £20 a pair but they have been fantastic. I'm hoping they bring out an olive green pair this season.

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 11/01/2014 19:58

Thanks for the link mummylovescake, think I'll try those, and maybe even the sainsburys ones too Grin
