Will I look ridiculous? They are Gap (off ebay) and I thought they'll be comfy for the later months in the dead of winter.
Am thinking with simple t shirt underneath or snuggly jumper and my black Celtic Sheepskin boots (Uggs! How many fashion crimes am I going to be reprimanded for here).
And no Dexy's jokes thank you.

I wore a pair when I was preggers and got lots of very nice comments - I like them!

Chloe55 · 25/07/2006 08:31

Yeah you'll look rediculous, I did, but I bloody loved mine!!! I wore them all the time and was upset when I wasn't pg and couldn't get away with them anymore

cupcakes · 25/07/2006 08:31

phew.

I am yet to meet or see anyone that they are flattering on - my SIL had them when PG and they looked awful and she wore them every day... they were particularly bad as towards the end they were so tight they gave her a 'camels hoof' effect down below - sorry if TMI
They must have cut her in half - eugh

If you are comfortable in them and confidence then why not but IMO (and I am crap with clothes) they just don't flatter

You run the risk of looking like Tweedledee and Tweedledum

FlameSparrow · 25/07/2006 08:34

My stepsisters pulled em off... I looked like a pregnant farmer porn star - so they stayed in the shop

cupcakes · 25/07/2006 08:36

my dungarees (turn your head)

A friend gave me her maternity dungarees when I was pregnant but I just looked like a childrens TV presenter from the 80s .

However I have occasionally seen other pregnant women look quite good in them

schneebly · 25/07/2006 08:38

I think they are lovely! Nicer than mine!

MrsBadger · 25/07/2006 14:54

good for winter - with jumper over bib will not be visible and you won't get the horrid waistline/bump interface of regular trousers.

mousiemousie · 25/07/2006 14:55

I think great if you are tall
not so hot if you are short

poisson · 25/07/2006 14:57

they are horrid

MrsBadger · 25/07/2006 14:58

agree not good for summer, but with jumper over who's to tell they're not just jeans?

womblingalong · 25/07/2006 15:01

Not sure if a Fashion Crime or not, but always wanted to ask a question about them.

If you have to go to the toilet all the time when pg (like I did) Isn't it maddening if you always have to undo the whole thing? Esp if you 'hide' the bib bit under a jumper like Mrs B suggests? (Think they are great on the comfort bit tho, so not a critique iykwim)

I think if it had been me I would have had lots of unfortunate accidents before I had managed to get them off!

cupcakes · 26/07/2006 10:07

I hadn't considered that...
