I always try the same old places in the interests of saving time and effort! What am I missing out on? I am early 30s, size 12/14

TK Maxx?

I got some Falmer jeans today in the Matalan sale reduced to £10

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/01/2014 20:42

M&S jeggings, Topshop skinnies, Oasis - work best for me.

Bonsoir · 04/01/2014 20:42

Zara

Johnnie B jeans from Boden are brilliant, and often very cheap in the sale. Much much nicer than grown up Boden jeans. At a 12-14 you should fit a 16+.

lgwilk · 04/01/2014 21:23

New look supersoft skinnies. I'm a 12/14 and they are great and only £20 in loads of colours.

NoComet · 04/01/2014 21:27

DD1 has the same request (although 15, she is the OPs size with proper hips) and dislikes low cut teen styles.

Esprit. They do odd (half) waist sizes and different leg lengths as well as a range of styles and cuts...

New Look have an amazing collection in at moment, I got a pair of high waisted slim fit and high rise super skinny for £30 the other day!

Topshop as well do good quality jeans and leg length varieties but they can be more £40+.

Uniqlo ...also have a free alterations service

madmomma · 05/01/2014 09:36

Gok Wan swears by pepe, for women. Never tried them personally. I love my Gap legging jeans

TSSDNCOP · 05/01/2014 09:46

French connection. I have three pair of Tiffany skinnies. Look great and last well. First pair 5 years old still look great.

purplegadget · 05/01/2014 10:31

I find Gap have a great range of different styles to suit different shapes and the assistants are often (though not always) really good at advising you.

burnishedsilver · 05/01/2014 11:41

I've had success with mint velvet. They were a bit lose and baggy to start but after a few washes they fit perfectly. The ones with the zips on the thigh are particularly nice.

I've had some great jeans from gap but I've taken several pairs of the same jean in the same size into the dressing room and they're all different. You need to try on loads to get the right ones with the right fit.

Follyfoot · 05/01/2014 11:44

M & Co have really well fitting jeans. They come up big so I find you have to downsize by one size for them to fit perfectly. It isnt the trendiest of shops, but I will always buy there from now on.

Thanks everyone!

Biba or Diesel or Tommy Hilfiger. Particularly fab if you have very long legs....

NoComet · 06/01/2014 07:23

burnishedsilver I have two pairs of gap jeans, same size exactly the same style code, bought pretty close together.

First pair fit, second pair are just tight enough to be uncomfortable Angry
