Damsel in a Dress- any stockists I don't know about?

I'm trying to track down a sale coat that is no longer available on DiaD, Debenhams, House of Fraser, or John Lewis websites in my size/colour. I've checked my local branches of JL and Debenhams (don't have Hof here), no luck. Does anyone know of any other outlets? Thank you Smile.

can you link the coat?

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 11:20

This one southeastatra but I just need stockists that I can call as no one seems to have it online:

www.damselinadress.co.uk/shop/coats-and-jackets/coats/malone-twill-coat-blue.aspx

I need a blue (not navy) in 10 - if only they were true to size, I'd be sorted but they are hugely vanity sized Sad . . .

\link{http://www.damselinadress.co.uk/stockists-uk.aspx\stockists} fenwick stock DiaD (Brent Cross)

WildThong · 04/01/2014 11:23

Try tKmaxx online? I got a couple of Damsel dresses there before, also House of Fraser stock it as well.

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:04

The Fenwick website didn't show them as a stockist when I looked yesterday, but the DiaD website (which is pretty poor) did Confused. HoF don't have it.

Fenwick website rubbish too - have just tried there again and nothing when I put in search box

i've seen the range at brent cross fenwicks, though it's only a small concession. am suprised selfridges and the like don't stock it

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:18

Well, most of the stuff is hideous, to be fair Grin . . . I am a million miles from Brent Cross . . .

southeastastra · 04/01/2014 12:23

you could ask if anyone sees one to get it for you... i will look but i imagine it's sold out now most places. it's nice and fearne cotton had it on in one pic i found Grin

WildThong · 04/01/2014 12:23

Debenhams have it too

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:24

Not in stock though!

WildThong · 04/01/2014 12:24

Oops, maybe in the store?

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:25

I'm really wondering if anyone knows of small, independent shops that stock it - I've tried all of the main department stores, and obviously Googled, but sometimes there are little places that no one knows of unless they live nearby. Mumsnet is often fantastic at finding that sort of thing so had my fingers crossed Sad . . .

OP posts:
Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:26

Debenhams only do it online WildThong, thanks though

Waitingforflo · 04/01/2014 12:27

That's really kind southeastastra - thank you! I've emailed them too so maybe they can find one . . . . although the Fearne Cotton link might be enough to put me off.

I second giving TK Maxx a go - I got a cracking Damsel dress there that I had missed out on in the sales (plus it was a further £30 cheaper). It was in my local Maxx and I didn't see it on their website.

Waitingforflo · 08/01/2014 13:05

This is VERY exciting news (for me) . . . I am getting my coat. How wonderful is that? You can all relax now Wink.

Let's pretend that I have started one of those threads where the poster makes you guess for about twenty pages before revealing something dull. That thread would be entitled 'guess how I got my coat?' And the answer, about six hours after you'd fallen asleep, would be . . . Mumsnet got it for me! Real actual Mumsnet, not a Mumsnetter, but the TOP DOGS found it. How absolutely bloody marvellous is that? I am giddy with it all, giddy.

Waitingforflo · 08/01/2014 13:06

So, what should I wear it with? Any suggestions?

Grin

hollyisalovelyname · 10/01/2014 18:39

I think Arnotts Dublin might do it. Phone them. Prefix for Dublin Ireland is 353

hollyisalovelyname · 10/01/2014 18:41

Waitingforflo, explain please

southeastastra · 10/01/2014 19:33

MN hq got it for you??

Womnaleplus · 10/01/2014 19:46

Eh?

Waitingforflo · 10/01/2014 21:55

There was no happy ending after all - still too big so I'm taking it as a sign and giving up Sad.

Just what I said holly - MN got in touch and said they'd found it. I'll never be mean to 'them' again Grin.

I'll have to take your advice WildThong but without the coat part as I'll clearly never source this one . . .
