Saying "dd where is your furry hat with scarf and mittens thingie?" is a bit of a mouthful-do they have a proper name?

Hatskittens ? Grin

CointreauVersial · 03/01/2014 20:57

(I made that up, BTW)

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 03/01/2014 21:04

I think the brand that first made them (or certainly made popular expensive ones if nothing else) is called Spirit Hoods, is it meant to be called a hood perhaps?

beanandspud · 03/01/2014 21:20

"DS, where's your panda?" usually works but sometimes gets a Xmas Hmm from others.

hugoagogo · 04/01/2014 16:06

I like 'hatskitten' Grin

A mistake?

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 04/01/2014 16:49

Hooded scarf. That's how it was described on mands and next websites.

BombayBunty · 04/01/2014 16:59

My ds says they are called "spirit hoods" Shock Shock

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/01/2014 17:28

Hooded scarf or Spirit Hoods according to my 11yo DD.
She bought a brown wolf one (she's very gorgeous in it but probably best left to the under 20s ) Smile

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 04/01/2014 17:32

We just call it DD's cow hat. Hers is black and white with pink ears.

hugoagogo · 04/01/2014 18:25

dd's is a wolf; she is 11 so can get away with it- If I wore it I would deserve to be ridiculed. Hmm

pollywollydoodle · 05/01/2014 01:34

dd's is just the panda....

FarelyKnuts · 05/01/2014 01:38

Hideous? :o

Though I think the name is Spirit Hood or some such pseudo native American claptrap Hmm

CambridgeBlue · 05/01/2014 10:08

DD's is called Wolfie and referred to as you would a pet or member of the family :). They don't seem to be 'in' with the 11 year olds round here this winter so he's not being worn but sits on the shelf with the other toys and will probably be cuddled in bed at some point.

Dontletthemgetyoudown · 05/01/2014 12:58

The dd's ones don't have faces on them. Dd1's is black and white Dalmatian print from m&s with ears and dd2's is grey really soft faux fur from next.

Dumpylump · 05/01/2014 13:02

My ds's are referred to as their leopard hats. One is grey, and one is brown, both leopard print obviously.
We bought them at a festival a couple of years ago when it turned surprisingly chilly in the evening, and they still wear them now if its really cold. Ds1 is asd, and doesn't tolerate loud noise particularly well...a bonus of the leopard hat is that you can fit his ear defenders under it - was v handy for NYE firework display Xmas Grin
