Can I wear nude shoes with trousers?

I need new work shoes and have seem some nice nude heels which I thought would be a little bit different. However I have only ever seen people wearing nude heels with skirts or dresses, would they work with trousers?

And further to this... if they won't work with full length trousers (which I'm afraid they won't) will they still be acceptable to wear next summer with capri length trousers or pencil skirts or will it look really dated?
