Can anyone recommend somewhere in Essex to get colours done?

That's it really! I've heard great things about it and thought I would make it my 40th birthday present to myself.

I have looked at the House Of Colour website and found a lady in Thorpe Le Soken, but can't seem to find anyone closer. I'm in the Maldon area. Any recommendations or does anyone know if this lady - Trudy, I think - would be worth the drive. (I know, I know, it's not actually that far.)

Thank you.

I went to Mandy Griffiths, also for my 40th birthday and had a fab morning. Mandy's studio is in a beautiful location too.

My wardrobe is now completely changed for the better. My mum came with me and it was good to see how the colours worked on some-one else.

I went to Trudy Cooper in September last year - it was a really fab day. There were 3 of us (we didn't know each other) but was good to be with people who don't know what you look like without make-up and therefore can look at you with fresh eyes, as Trudy gets everyone to help out when you are being "done". She was really friendly and welcoming and I would recommend it.

Thank you both. I've heard such positive things about it and would love to pull myself out of the style doldrums. Good to have some personal recommendations from people who have actually been.
