AIBU to think all this boob scooping shouldn't be necessary?

Shouldn't bras be designed to hold us in ALL of us in and keep us held in without the need for a quick dive into the loo mid morning to check all is in place & rescoop if necessary?

Or am I horribly naive about female anatomy & what it can take, and am basically calling for a return to Victorian corsetry?

Does your bra fit?

ouryve · 02/01/2014 23:18

Bras are nice and stretchy these days so they can support you whilst still allowing you to breathe. Things move about, especially if you have more than the bare minimum body fat. It takes me a couple of seconds to hoik everything back into place if things have slipped. It's no big deal. It doesn't happen often.

MrsHelsBels74 · 02/01/2014 23:19

Not at the moment no, but I've lost nearly 2 stone in weight recently.

But all the bra intervention threads advocate scooping for dear life & I just think it shouldn't really be necessary....should it?

I think if you are aged14, size 8 with fantastically perky little boobiies then no - no scooping is necessary.

However, once we get a little older, the flesh doesn't stay pointing out at the front. It's very unfortunate. So this is when a good old scoop works wonders :)

Although, I haven't yet had to re adjust anything mid way through the day.. It generally stays put.

lilyaldrin · 02/01/2014 23:20

You only need to scoop when you first put it on though, not throughout the day if it fits well.

MurderOfGoths · 02/01/2014 23:20

But with the bra intervention you only need to scoop when you put the bra on, no adjusting after that. Or was I doing it wrong?

Rockchick1984 · 02/01/2014 23:21

I've never had to scoop my boobs Confused

BitOfFunWithSanta · 02/01/2014 23:21

I'm guessing you don't have sidey boobs? They have been the bane of my life from even a young and perky age.

MissBurrows · 02/01/2014 23:23

I find bras from certain placee (Primark) and in certain styles (plunge or push-up) to necessitate the need for scooping more than others. Also... bras that are too small require a lot of scooping. I hate bra fittings... and shopping, so I'm forever in too small bras, requiring many scoops throughout the day.

MrsHelsBels74 · 02/01/2014 23:23

I have side & back boobs & have been advised to do a bit of midday scoopage if needed.

I have to scoop when I am wearing a back size that is too big or my bra has, stretched. My boobs slip out and try to escape. If my bra fits snuggly I only scoop when putting it on.

StatisticallyChallenged · 03/01/2014 06:08

I sometimes have a quick midday scoop but I find my bands stretch during the day. My boobs are also pretty soft.
