I daren't go to the hairdressers, its got so out of hand.
It is very curly and only looks shoulder length, but when wet in about 3 inches longer.
When dry if I pull the curl down it shoots up a further 3 inches.

I have only had a good haircut twice and I am bloody 47.
I even had it straight once, OMG it grew out awful.

What can I do, I'm serious? I am sure most of it is dead anyway.
I am not adding a picture but its a cross between crystal tips and chaka Khan. Sometimes 70's look but mostly Chaka in the 80's.

I'm not laughing, I'm in the same metaphorical boat. Except that mine is a bit longer and has lost it's curl so is now more sort of "bus driver from Sou Park" look.
I'm afraid I have no advice but can offer a bucket of sympathy. I have a mild fear of hairdressers as I can count the number of half-decent cuts I've had on one finger hand (being charitable), but it would use all my fingers and toes to count the disasters.

Not sure where you live but there is a curly hair pro in London, f you search on here you will see reviews of him. Don't have curly hair myself but growing out a terrible haircut so sympathies

Ok, bad hair club it is, with suitable description and cartoon character.

It's just so frustrating, you know exactly what will happen before you go.
I have paid an absolute fortune before now, trying the theory you get what you pay for.
I had 12 inches cut off once, it was the best cut I ever had. Dh came to pick me up and kept driving past, not recognising me.
One other similarly good cut and that is it for ever.

I really can't leave it any longer. I'm only small and look like hair on legs atm.
