What would you get from Cath Kidston if you had to?

I have got a gift card from an internet refund in store last summer.

I went and bought a bag the other day but don't really like it (in fact I got two, and don't like either)

So they are going back
but what to actually get? I get the feeling a lot of it is overpriced, under-quality stuff that's just basically fashionable tat, but what I like to buy is stuff that is nice quality, and not just 'image' based - something that is good and will last.

So what would you recommend from Cath's? I have got about £65 to spend.

Pjs or dressing gown. Their clothes are dire

collywobble · 02/01/2014 21:24

The plimsolls are great quality and made by converse apparently.

Emo76 · 02/01/2014 21:28

tea towels, oven glove and oil cloth to herald in spring!

nothing to wear.

SconeForAStroll · 02/01/2014 21:37

I got the Stanley salt and pepper shakers for Christmas. They are v.nice.

The big mugs are great, a really good amount of tea but I don't have anything else.

FallonColby · 02/01/2014 21:38

You are right it is tat and I would be really hard pushed to buy anything. I would probably use the money to stock up on presents for others- how about some pjs or back packs for little ones.

joanofarchitrave · 02/01/2014 21:41

If you have any tiny nieces with birthdays coming up, the tea set in a little suitcase is really sweet.

CointreauVersial · 02/01/2014 22:40

I really want a sewing box, but they are a bit pricey.

Wuxiapian · 02/01/2014 23:23

The wool scarves are lovely.

Bumbez · 02/01/2014 23:27

I have some bone china mugs that are still going strong 8 years on!

MyNameIsKenAdams · 02/01/2014 23:28

I have a pair of pjs (well, the trousers), and a thin cotton dressing gown. Love both. Also have a zip up Kindle pouch. I like the baby stuff - do you know anyone pregnant who you might need to buy a gift for?

Picturesinthefirelight · 02/01/2014 23:33

I just bought dd the duck egg duvet cover as it matches her room but I hate the pink flowery stuff

StarlightMcKingsThree · 02/01/2014 23:37

Soap. It's practical and doesn't look shite when unwrapped like most of their stuff.
