Best place to buy first walking shoes?

My 9m baby girl started walking and all of her shoes seem to make her heels sore. My question is from where I could buy pair of nice good quality shoes for her? Thank you :)

You need somewhere in which she can be measured. First shoes should have a soft sole which is flexible and allows her to feel the floor.

Clarks would probably be the best bet, they have a first walking shoe range with the soft sole.

Sorry I just read about her heels being sore. My dd was a very early walker and she had a similar problem, she actually had some X-rays and scans. It turned out that her foot was slightly turning inwards as she walked putting too much pressure on other areas. Correctly fitting shoes with ankle support helped and it soon corrected itself.

oh dear, I hope it's not so serious with us. Did you take her to GPs to find out? I really don't want her to hurt her poor feet. I think off to clarks we go Smile

Wow early walker!

My dd isn't even crawling at just 9mo

I hope I didn't frighten you Blush

It was our doctor who first noticed. Hence the further tests. He advised where possible to let her go bare footed and when she had to wear shoes to have good ankle support.

If she is still just doing early toddling steps I would hold off on shoes just yet. You don't need them until she is an established walker and walking outside and the longer you can keep her out of them the better as far as foot development and muscle strengthening goes. Also decent baby shoes are soooo expensive for something they grow out of very quickly so personally I wouldn't splash out until they're really needed.
