Surely all the neighbourhood cats would start following you around?

If I did that, the resulting acne would make me look like a teenager.... So yes.

mrselgar · 01/01/2014 10:12

Vitamin e oil or rosehip oil will work.

SundaySimmons · 01/01/2014 10:19

evening primrose oil does make your skin look softer and plumper.

Jaffacakesallround · 01/01/2014 11:13

No.

But eating more oily fish and Omega 3s might well help.

sugar4eva · 01/01/2014 13:44

Super drug facial oil is about three pounds and works well for me.

BanoffeeSplitz · 01/01/2014 16:03

Fish oil - will do you more good eating it than rubbing it on your face!
Evening Primrose Oil - vice versa I reckon. I use it my face now & again before bed & it does seem to soften & plump up. Bit oily for me to want to use every day though.

But I'm just using up capsules because I bought them by mistake in the Holland & Barrett 1p sale - if I wanted to treat myself I'd use a (cheap or otherwise) facial oil that smelt a bit nicer. I doubt there's anything magical about Evening Primrose Oil.

I use a facial oil every evening . I have found to following to be very good

Liz earle superskin oil, I love this but it is quite expensive and DH didn't like the aroma

I am currently using a clarins facial oil which is great and it is cheaper

I also quite like the marks and Spencer's facial oils which are cheaper still.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/01/2014 16:17

Superdrug one here too. Tis v decent and vv cheap.

I've been using bio oil on my face and neck once a day for over two years and it works for me. Just three drops rubbed into palms and spread on face and neck. One bottle lasted over two years too. Only just bought new one. Good luck.

I have Nuxe facial oil and it's gorgeous, doesn't leave skin at all greasy and instantaneously makes it all glowy, magical stuff. I'm wearing it under moisturiser day and night atm.

specialsubject · 01/01/2014 22:25

nothing you put on your face will make you look younger.'I heard' always prefaces nonsense.

don't smoke, don't sunbathe. If you could avoid all facial expression that would do it but that seems a bit extreme.

Philoslothy · 01/01/2014 23:35

Sunday that is the marks' one that I have, I like it. I prefer it to the Superdrug one.

LaurieFairyCake · 01/01/2014 23:39

Yes!

I started a thread on it. I already used decleor neroli or aromessence or super skin oil but for the last 3 weeks I've been slapping cod liver oil on my face twice a day.

I have really good skin anyway but it has evened it out even more, and has crucially reduced lines around my eyes

Yes it smells bad but five minutes after I slap a smelly moisturiser on it once it's sunk in. Currently using Rens rose moisturiser

I have genuinely lost 3 years plus.

It take 4-6 weeks for skin to entirely replace so I will be carrying on for the whole 6 weeks.

I used evening primrose oil on my face one night (Sali Hughes in the Guardian recommended it). I woke up spotty with stained pillow.

I have combination skin and I believe SH has dry skin. So I guess it could work for some...
