How wear a white shirt well

I love the look of a crisp white shirt with fitted black trousers or dark denim. However when I try it I look either frumpy, school uniform, masculine or I'll fitted.

Is ther a specific white shirt to go for? Anyone have any recommendations?

I wear them with a round necked jumper over, with the "tails" poking out at the bottom.

I recently bought a small mens shirt, and it looks great (cheap too).

I love my fitted 3/4 length sleeved cotton and elastane one that I bought 10 years ago in Eiseneger, Cambridge. I haven't found anything else like it in terms of style or quality.

I wear it with indigo Moto jeans, again I bought it back in the early noughties and if I'm feeling cold, I wear my woolovers silk cotton tank top over it.

Get one that fits properly. Save up for a bespoke one??

It took me 20 years to realise that it's not just that I'm overweight, it's that most women's shirts are too narrow in the shoulder for me, making me look like a rugby forward who's overtrained.

TBH i think the white shirt look is best on women who are extremely slender and these days I always go for a v-neck top.

Eiseneger! Now there is a blast from the past.

Doesn't it depend on skin tone as well? I don't think many people really suit white

Ha ha runbikeski. I just said that exact thing to my DH!!!
