Going out NYE - what do people wear?

Going out for dinner tonight to a nice restaurant in London - fairly posh but more foodie than glitzy. I have absolutely zero idea what to wear! I haven't been out on NYE for so long I'm clueless. Any ideas? Is this an LBD kind of occasion or is it overkill for a bit of grub?

You cannot overdress on NYE - wear what you feel comfy but glam in!

Id wear a tiara, stilettos and a LBD for NYE meal

I'm wearing a skater dress and tights but I'm only going to a piss up at a friends.

Skater dresses are nice to wear and you can dress them up or down

I'm wearing a gold and black dress and doing pretty much the same thing as you, definitely lbd would be fine!

Deffo LBD. Although tbh, there will be everything out there from jeans to tiaras!

Oh good - I'm up the duff and kind of looking forward to a chance to get glammed up before I turn into a waddling lump! But hate being overdressed. LBD it is!
