How did I not know about this until today? You can upload a photo and talk to a make up artist in chat who will recommend products and shades to suit you!

Could've saved me a fortune in online make up purchases in the past that have been soo wrong!

Highly recommend it,but only had it tonight so the make up is yet to arrive!

what makeup did she recommend?

can you tell the shade of your skin from a photo? isn't it dependent on the lighting?

They gives hints on the photo to use -lighting,no shadows, face on etc my pic was pretty good with no make up,hair scraped back and in daylight (stood outside my front door lol)

Recommended Skin Foundation in Porcelain (I was looking at that foundation so glad she recommended it,although I wasn't sure whether I'd be ivory or porcelain..that said I usually go ivory in foundations and they always look a little 'too much' on me,partly colour and partly because anything that isn't light-medium at most gives a huge glowy white canvass that needs stronger make up elsewhere or it looks wrong)

Pot Rouge in Powder Pink, surprised me as I thought any pink had to be avoided with red hair,or Uber Beige if I was scared of trying the powder pink lol for cheeks and lips to add a little natural warmth (wanted a no to minimal make up look)

Navy and nude eye pallet which she thinks would be amazing on my colouring.

'Orange' lipstick if I was brave enough to try it for more made up occasions.

And Smokey Eyes Mascara

That's tricky though isn't it- I mean, a photo will only be as good as your pc browser and how colour is represented.

I've used their online chat but didn't find it that helpful tbh- was trying to choose between 2 blushers, both pinky! I did eventually try in store and chose neither.

What IS worth knowing is they will refund your money on foundation, concealer and powder from now until June if you buy online and it's the wrong shade.

OP I use Porcelain in the Moisture Rich foundation and bought the same same shade in Skin Foundation but found it MUCH lighter. I did query this at the counter afterwards, but they just kind of shrugged....

how do you find it? I thought it was more like Alabaster.

My order arrived today and I'm very happy! The foundation is a spot on match with my skin, first time ever!

It's also fab and does exactly what it says as once on even I couldn't see I was wearing any,had to double take a few times with an 'ah?' expression lol it really does look like your skin, just a little better Smile

The powder pink pot rouge is perfect in colour too, which surprised me.Jab it on my lips aswell and it's the perfect 'my lips but better' shade,so I'm very impressed. Can see the 3 pickle freckles on my top lip, just about, too. It ends up looking a little Matt on the lips though so will put something on top, just a balm.

The free mascara I got is a bit of a let down though. It's a very natural looking one,so good in that respect, but it looks a little too natural and possibly 'odd' although would probably look good if you wear nothing else on your eyes.but I have a lot of lashes,in a weird formation (to me lol) so that may be why!

Definitely a Bobbi Brown convert Grin
