My dad has a double chin. It runs in the family. I had always assumed it would go down the male side. But i am approaching mid 30s and starting to notice one develop in me!
Has anyone had any success with facial exercises? Its not something that is caused by excess weight. I am size 10-12 so although i could lose a few pounds its not going to make much difference.

I spend a few minutes twice a day pulling funny faces and I don't have a double chin. I think the exercises do tighten underneath my jaw.

What about "marionette lines"? The ones from nose to chin, via the corner of the mouth? I'm getting one (yes, one) on my right hand side. The left's Ok but then, I sleep on my right and it's the side nearest the window, when driving (apparently, makes a difference in terms of sun damage. I'm 51.

search Danielle Collins facial yoga on Amazon. I've done facercise for years, and the yoga DVD is pretty much the same, but its easier to follow on a DVD. I'm 33 and I think it does help, Smile

beware the smartphone chin! angling your head downwards encourages a double chin as I can sometimes see in the reflection of my phone

Yes! Will try but I always wake up on my tummy with head to the left and voila! One crease which now stays, pretty much all day.

I agree about the phones. I'm on an iPad now, and know my chin is all squashed down on my chest!
