Does anyone have a scaramanga satchel - is this normal?

DH bought me a classic leather satchel for Christmas which I love, but the pocket bit on the front seems to be a bit off centre. As a result, when it's buckled the flap is a bit squint.

I'm not sure if this is part of a imperfect handcrafted look, or if I should send it back for an exchange.

If you have a scars manga satchel how does yours compare?

Shameless bump!

I have a Scaramanger satchel but the front pocket is inside the main part. I haven't had any problems with mine (beside the leather being stiff at first, it's soft now).
If your not happy with your bag, send it back for an exchange. The wonky pocket would annoy me if it was my bag.

Thanks Wales - I think I will send it back, but I can be a bit overly fussy about these things so useful to find out how other people found theirs. It's a bit annoying as I really want to use it, and pretty much every one of my Christmas presents from DH need to be exchanged for one reason or another!

It will be worth sending it back. The Scaramanger standards seem to be high, the seconds listed on their site only have minor flaws.

Good to know, thanks.

I bought DD2 a scaramanga satchel for Xmas and it's definitely not squinty in any way.. I'd send it back.

The smell of the leather is so gorgeous we all keep sniffing it :D
