Stsrted to develop exzma on my hands abiut six weeks ago and possibly on my back too. Using Aveeno hand cream and body lotion and wondering if it would be a good idea to use the body wash too.

Anyone else?

Have you changed your diet? Suddenly gorged on naval oranges or something? Citrus can be a trigger for some people. Also dairy, caffeine, wine...
Alternatively could be the cold weather and central heating. Aveeno cream and also the bath oil are good moisturisers in my opinion.
I'm no expert at all btw. Good luck figuring out possible triggers.

Yes I did, as an adult, when I moved to London. Exclusion diet suggested that food wasn't the problem - I blamed hard water.

I suffer terribly when stressed. even the slightest "stress" can set it off. I had it on my hands on soles of feet, it started as tiny blister type things. was horrible. aquarous cream ( god knows how you spell it!!)

I developed it very suddenly in my 20s, the doctor said it was due to stress, and it still flares up now and again if I'm worried or anxious. I'm now in my 40s, and the dreaded hand eczema started a year ago. Aveeno is great, my DS and I go through about 4 tubes a week, and bath/shower every 2 or 3 days if we can get away with it, like at weekends.
Good luck with sorting it, it's awful.

The single thing that has made the biggest improvement to mine has been to minimise use of liquid soap, I have bars at home and work now. The only liquid ones I have found that I can use without irritation are Dr Organic by Holland and Barret.

I had it all over half of my left hand for several months after DS was born. Looked horrible and itched like hell. It went away eventually - I was using Celestial cream from Lush, but I couldn't say if it was that or just time that saw it off.

Since then it has started to flare up a few times - I'll feel a tell-take itch and see little red bumps start - but I hammer it with steroid cream and that has always nipped it in the bud. It's never really come back, not the way it was back in 2008.

I think it is probably diet or stress-related.
