sizes in primark?

Is it me or are the sizes in primark all wrong?
I am usually a 12/14 in other shops but find that i need a 16/18 in primark

I generally find that the cheaper the clothes the greater the chance of needing to go up a size -so yes, I agree

me too - in trousers - but skirts and other 'flowing' garments are fine

It all depends. I am a 12 and yesterday I tried on a pink gypsy style beach dress and I looked pg. Another time (depending on cut) a 12 can be way too tight.
I remember going to primark once and a lady had a tape measure with her measuring the waist measurements. Apparently they do often get the sizes muddled up!

Don't tend to buy much from there, but think as they're cheap and cheerful, they're not terribly accurate with their sizing.

Bought a skirt last summer and had to buy a 10 as the 12 literally fell off my hips in the changing room (and I'm usually a 12-14)

But have a cropped tie front cardigan thing in a size 16-18 which fits me fine (Definitely a size 12 on top)

some of the size 18 tops were like a 10/12
