It's in a jaw length graduated bob with blunt fringe. It looks good when I can be arsed to blow dry. But with a 3yr old and a 1yr old i just CBA. If I don't blow dry its wavy, not properly curly. If I have it long enough to tie back, I tie it back, it gets loads of breakages so looks fluffy down, and noone can see it anyway. Also, I find it irritating long.

But I have another ishoo. the front especially the sides are snow white. The rest is salt and pepper, about 50/50. But I dye it (roots only). I want to stop because 1. its too expensive and time consuming to do professionally, but I'm not doing a good job at home. I'm a young looking 36, and think I can get away with my natural colour, maybe with a wash out rinse of something funky like candy floss pink.

One solution would be to have a short crop, and keep it short till the colour has gone, then grow it out. But I don't want it that short. I can get away with it but DH will hate it, and I know it'll take a year to get it looking reasonable, with a long period of it looking crap in between.

Another solution would be to have some high lights to blend in the grey, gradually adding more as the regrowth comes in. But I hate myself blonde. I tried this before and it was too warm and brassy, made me look crap. I think part of the problem is that my dyed hair was too fragile to bleach the last of the warmth out. I think if I could do this, but with really really white high lights, maybe just in my parting it would be OK. Can that be done? With a bob as short as i can bear and trim it often?
