Evening out in pub - can I wear a skirt?

Normally wear jeans but it is so hot I can't face it! Is a skirt acceptable?

of course! i wear skirts all the time. i've got a lovely crinkle cotton one on today and i'm going for a pub lunch.

Of course..you can ..in fact round here if a pub gets designered then you won't get in with jeans!

Sorry, should explain, would to a wine bar or a nice pub but this is a fairly standard pub which my friend likes.

Of course. I haven't worn jeans at all for weeks. You can wear it fairly dressed down with flipflops or whatever if you don't want to look overdressed. Woulnd't contemplate wearing jeans in this weather. Although here it is pretty grey looking outside today.

Of course you can wear a skirt to the pub, you delightful ingenue. It's actually quite common for skirts to be worn in all sorts of places in hot weather like this, I find.
