DP went out and bought me an early Christmas present to replace it. However, Boots had sold out of BBH so he got a John Frieda one. Is it the same? It looks the same but is it, is it really?!

No, it was a gift, but presumably my sister, who bought it from amazon, will have a record of buying it on her amazon account, I wonder if that would count?

That must be a new thing. Mine went pop a few months back and it was only 18 months old, and the guarantee was well and truly over.

My one has just been replaced under guarantee - they can tell by the serial number how old it is.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago (for £40! Was I fleeced?) but I just . . . don't get it. I've watched YouTube thingies and had a good few goes, but my hair just does not look smooth, glossy and swishy.

Cointreau not as far as I'm aware - I bought my first one 2 years ago and I think they were quite new then. It's a babyliss guarantee not a retailer guarantee. I bought mine from Argos and they replaced it for me (twice now).
