Would you dye this skirt and, if so, what colour?

Okay, so it's not quite as garish in real life as in the photo but it is a really nicely fitting cord mini skirt from Gap. On sale, surprise, surprise. They don't do it in a normal colour. I love the cut and material but don't think I can brave the colour. Should I return it or might I be able to dye it a tamer colour or is that a recipe for disaster?

I imagine navy, grey, or black would take well. Perhaps a dark burgundy too?

I dye a lot of things. Mostly work well but just beware that thread is usually polyester and doesn't take the colour.
So maybe choose colour according to what works well
With or against the orange seams.

Grey would be excellent as I have a lovely neat grey cardie from Cos that would be good with it. I wonder whether the dye would take? Previous dyeing attempts here have been very unsuccessful.
