Gorgeous new dress. but which shoes?

I got a lovely dress in monsoon today. The only link I can find is on google images, it is the blue one third along:

what kind of shoes would it go with? would it be ok to wear flip flops with during the day or is that just too slobby?

Wedges - it looks strapless so I'd say that makes it too posh for flipflops - but hell - what do I know? Never thought I'd give advice on a style thread

it did actually come with detachable straps, dont think i'd dare go strapless! Do you think it is too posh to wear to a job interview if the weather stays this hot? I thought I could maybe dress it down with a little cardi or something

daywear if with nice flipflops, not scuffed-up beachy ones. Wedges probably easier.

could do for job interview formalled up with cardi / shrug and (critically) closed-toe shoes, but I tend to err on the formal professional side for interviews ie suit suit suit
