Does anyone have a stylish solution for storing my make up? It's all lumped together like my DS's crayon box at the mo.

Ikea is a good place to start. Depends how much you need! I have an 8 drawer unit from Staples which holds the bulk of it
A small pretty box on top of the unit with things I use everyday and a couple of jewelled tubs for brushes
Back up/dupes of makeup live in a wooden crate type thing, along with back up/dupes of toiletries/cleansers etc

I got a beauty box off eBay brand new, they sell on amazon too. I just typed in beauty box and lots of styles of boxes came up.

Muji have some really great Perspex draws, looks neat but I can see what I want to get to etc. also try A Place for Everything.

I second the muji Perspex drawers. I have them and everything is easy to find and neat.

I use a little mini perspex set of Muji drawers for flat stuff and a perspex container for brushes, mascaras, lipliners and everything else which stands up.

I use a damp e cloth to clean them every week and honestly it literally takes a couple of minutes. I also use the e cloth to wipe all my brushes too and it works really well.

You can get what is called a train (I think) case for makeup.

Lakeland do large and small carry cases for makeup. too tired to link but they're there on their website.

sometimes what is nice and IKEA or Cargo etc have them are small wooden chest of drawer things (with the pull out drawers) the Cargo type is normally for herbs/spices etc - art shops have these too.

I shove mine in 2 drawers with those flexi Ikea zip boxes and also in stuff like Athropologie tall rippled glass and my christening mug (it's old and why not?!).

never tried the clear drawers but think I may cave and get one.

I got some acrylic make up storage containers from tkmaxx.
They were about £8 and look nice.

Depends how much you want to spend. Train cases from Japonesque set my heart alight!

JemimaPuddle · 15/12/2013 13:38

I've got a great box from Roobags and s drawer unit form ikea.

BunnyLebowski · 15/12/2013 13:45

I use these and too many of them Blush .

They're fab and easy to transport when I'm doing other people's makeup!

I have a couple of Beauty Boxes from Amazon - one for skincare and one for make up.

Apatite1 · 15/12/2013 17:45

I have the japonesque train case. Fits a whole bunch of stuff. It's lockable too.

That's what I use too Bunny but I long for something on wheels!
