Urgent Superdry sizing help for DS (age 10) Xmas present please

My DS is 10 and has been coveting a Superdry coat for ages - I have been ignoring him as I thought they did not do children's sizes.

However, he was insistent that his cousin had one on the other week when we met up with them, so I have spoken to his mum and apparently he has one, but it is a ladies one and that is what all the young boys wear - who knew ?!

My mum and dad have said they will get him one for combined Xmas and birthday present, but I have no idea what size to get - cousin's mum couldn't see the size in cousin's coat as she has stitched a name label over it, and so I can't get any tips from her.

XXS is a ladies size 6 and XS is an 8. I am leaning towards the 8, but have no idea - DS is an average size 10 year old, so can anyone please give me any clues? Have searched on here, and it seems like sizes are v. small?

My mum has got my dd 10 (nearly 11) superdry clothes for xmas, she has gone for an XS but we haven't actually tried any of it on her but its a similar size to age 11-12 in m&s which is what she would usually wear.

Don't they have a size guide on their site? You could compare measurements with a kids brand you know fits him?

I've got DD an XS for Christmas. She's quite a tall 9.
I measured it against one of her other jackets age 10-11 & it's only slightly bigger (wider). The sleeves however look absurdly long!

They come up really small. My tall slim 16year old wears a medium in superdry. He wears 26' waist jeans and a small everywhere else.
