What do you wear with a sweater dress (shoes/boots)

I bought a red one (fine knit) then found a mauve one in with my jumpers (fine knit with a cowell neck)

But what do I wear on my bottom half?
I've got thick opaque tights. And leggings.

Brown long boots and brown marl tights.

Or do I need leggings and a short boot?

I want them as a tunic dress rather than a dressy dress, if that makes sense.

I would wear either ankle boots or lace up shoes with a wedge.

id wear the brown boots as long as the colours go.

Or Id wear an ankle boot but again it depends on the styles.

If it was a evening thing Id wear heels.

I usually wear shoe boots for dressing up jumper dresses and long boots for more casual.

I wear them with patterned tights - like Trasparenze, Orbolo - and heeled shoe boots. The shorter ones I wear with slim fitting knee boots.
