I've been given £20 to buy myself something by my grandmother with strict instructions to spend on myself. I was thinking make up (prob mascara) or handcream. Any suggestions. I'd rather buy one lovely thing than lots of little things though

A Dior macara?

A NARS blusher?

Add on a tenner of your own and get an Urban Decay palette?

A Trish McEvoy mascara.

Thanks for ideas- have a few minutes before I neex to be at work so going to pop into House of Fraser first. Is Dior best mascara do you think? I've got a body shop one now (hate it) and had Benefit before- which I quite liked

I like Lanolips hand, body creams and their lip balms.

E Coudray products are very special. The Rose and Jacinthe bath products and body cream look and smell divine.

Chanel make up is utter luxury. The packaging alone makes you feel good.

My favourite mascara ever is Max Factor 2000 Calories.

The Dior ones are great.

Benefit Bad Gal is good but their newer one (They're Real) is terrible. I gave mine away.

GreenerthanGrass · 12/12/2013 09:47

ooh Thanks Bunny. Had Bad gal before so might have been tempted by new one, good tip

OP - Trish McEvoy mascara is the bees knees. It doesn't smudge one bit - it coats each lash in a gel that dries, then you just wash off with water and it goes back to a gel and comes off in little tubes. It is fab.

AFAIK you can only get it is Selfridges, Harvey Nicks or Liberty, but they all do online.

BitchyFestiveFace · 12/12/2013 09:51

It is, isn't it! I rarely wear mascara but got this as a magazine freebie. Didn't know if it was crap because I was doing it wrong (somehow Hmm ) or just crap. Guess it's not me! Grin

I would buy Nars blusher or two real technique make up brushes.
