Not my cup of tea. Sorry

dexter73 · 12/12/2013 10:12

They seem very expensive for a pair of slippers that you have to make yourself! I only like slippers with a proper bottom on them as I sometimes go outside with them on so they wouldn't suit me.

bunnybunyip · 12/12/2013 10:13

I like them.

PacifistDingDong · 12/12/2013 10:18

I like them. A lot.
Yes not cheap, but I'd like the fact I made my slippers myself.

They do outer soles, dexter, even Vibram.

dexter73 · 12/12/2013 10:30

Bet the outer soles cost quite even more though Pacifist.

PacifistDingDong · 12/12/2013 10:32

True.

I'd see this more as a crafty project/fun than a good-value-for-money way to get new slippers

dexter73 · 12/12/2013 10:33

Just looked and the vibram soles are another £10.

Like the idea of being able to make up my unique colour combination and customise it, and think the slippers look good.

allweneedislove · 12/12/2013 14:06

I'm still keen, true they're not cheap though. Found them on this mumsnet blogger blog. the-gingerbread-house.co.uk/2013/11/24/handmade-slippers/

So killedanotherthread you haven't managed to kill this thread yet. I can't decide which colour to go for - think I'll mix the colours like you suggest and perhaps the suede sole. Present to self. Xmas Smile

We bought TWO pairs, the children loved making them - I often borrow DD's pair and they keep my feet very snug. DS (age 9) insisted on making the soles in different colours - ie re-arranging the order of the three soles - nice that you can customise them.

killedanotherthread · 13/12/2013 15:19

Good not to have been the final entry on a thread at last Smile. I'd be interested to know how you get on.

QueNoelle · 13/12/2013 15:24

I don't have an opinion on the slippers. I just didn't want killedanotherthread to kill another thread Grin

allweneedislove · 13/12/2013 18:54

Success all round. killedanotherthread didn't (yet) and I've chosen some slippers - they're going to be a bit like this this but with a suede sole. Thanks for the comments snowflake and all.

I just received two sets of Joe's Toes (how cute)) in the post, LOVED the packaging - was going to make them both up but the pack is SOOOO lovely I am sending one on as a kit. DS (11) made up the other pair - his suggestion as he is giving them to his (very special and life saving) tutor and wanted to be part of the making. More than just slippers - love the fact that you can be part of the making and the end product looks so great. There are going to be lots of toasty toes in our family next year - birthday presents sorted!!

allweneedislove · 18/12/2013 21:52

Glowing reports and talented children it seems, but are there any other companies with similar slippers i.e.in kits, perhaps in kids sizes I wonder?
