Worth a try- are there any natural classics wanting to compare notes?

Had style day a few weeks ago, but not really sure what to do next. What are other natural classics wearing? Is there anywhere I can look for inspiration? My everyday life is very casual, but not sure how I should be doing that in a classic way Grin

I mean I wear jeans and converse most days and look a proper scruff! I need a better handle on what HOC natural classics actually wear in reality to give me some inspiration Smile

I have been working on this for a while. It's a journey but a good one.

To me it's about having a certain look.

Think thoroughbred.
Think classy.
Never wear anything that looks scruffy or 'cheap'
Make the look work with your body shape..I need a bit of soft and straight. So if I wear something quite tailored such as a smart jacket, I would then dull it down with softer trousers for example.
Did you get a list of brands from your style day? They should have given you one. I would say that brands such as Massimo Dutti and Ralph Lauren fit the type. Of course I can't afford R Lauren, but have bought the odd things in a sale.
They say a Natural Classic should never buy cheap..for me less is more..I have much fewer clothes than most people I know.
Not everything works but I also have bought this year from Zara, Hobbs, Jigsaw..
It's more about a look than a shop though. I have bought a lot second hand and from charity shops...dresses, a coat, boots, etc.

Thanks for replies. I did have a list of shops, but I am only 30 and I have never bought anything from them before as they seem mostly older shops. I am a SAHM, before that a teacher, and before that a student, so cheap and cheerful has always been the way I have dressed- I have no 'investment' pieces at all as they would get playdoh or sick on pretty quick! I agree with the 'diagnosis' of natural classic, just need to change the way I am thinking to smarten myself up a bit. I would be a natural, but with a bit more structure I think, def. not a full classic. Has anyone got an polyvore or Pinterest boards I could see that fit with HOC natural classic style??
