I was just pondering on how different the S&B board would look if it went back to the mid 90s, or the 50s, or even the Victorian period!

What S&B dilemmas would MNers of the past face, do you think?

In the 18th century I might have been canvassing views on where to put my fake beauty spots. And how I should arrange my fake eyebrows made of mouse fur (I have not made this up).

Where can I get a good Rachel cut?
Lip liner - inside or outside the lip line?

Would vanishing cream remove a certain problem (a bump if you know what I mean!!!). Apparently ladies and girls used it for exactly that problem. For those still scratching their heads -I mean an unwanted baby bump.

Mind you, Great Grandma used it on her face (Ponds Vanishing cream) and had lovely skin! Wish they still made it as it really mattifyed and left on for 5 mins was a great face mask.

Speaking personally, I wish I never did the 'looking like David Bowie thing' - I shaved off my eyebrows. Oh yes I regret it now!!!!

90's. "If I wear a long-line jumper with these tailored leggings, will it hide my bottom".

Today I am wearing dark grey leggings (with a zip and not skin tight just as before) and a long length burgundy coloured jumper with a cowl type neck.

The only difference is then I wore it with pixie boots and the leggings had a bit that went under the heel and now the leggings are just tailored to a narrow ankle and I wear them with long leather boots.

I've a lovely picture of my mum in capri pants, a lacy top and ballerinas in the late 1950's!

I makes you think. It all comes round again it seems just slightly updated. I even have a navy polka dot skirt reminiscent of the one I had in the early 80s along with every other Sloane in London.

Belladonna, Arsenic or both?

18th Century

My complexion is terrible, even though I coat myself in all manner of lead based concoctions and am a pleasing ghostly white, I am unable to fully conceal these horrid blemishes which afflict me. I have started using decorative patches to cover them, but crescent moons and stars are just not cutting it. Would I look a bit OTT if I stuck a coach and horses patch over the worst of it?

RevoltingPeasant · 07/12/2013 16:50

He he! These made me Grin

I was thinking late 90s - where can I buy some really brown neutral lippy?

And an ironic character tshirt??

Eastwickwitch · 07/12/2013 17:23

Lavenderhoney · 07/12/2013 17:27

1980's - is it just me or do I look ridiculous with shoulder pads this big in my suits?

Also, can anyone recommend a bag strong and big enough to carry my mobile and Filofax? The one I have sags with the weight.
