What is it? I've never heard of it

myroomisatip · 06/12/2013 14:03

Holland and Barrett are advertising it. Made from snail mucus.

Of course, they claim it is amazing stuff :)

It's supposed to be really healing. Apparently people who work with snails found that any wounds on their hands heal up much faster.

I wouldn't worry about snail secretions when you consider some of the things you could be putting on your skin Wink

BigToesofFrog · 06/12/2013 14:53

I can't get my head round this either. I don't even like the thought of Origins "mega mushroom" - even if it works, the idea of mushrooms just puts me off and snail slime is even worse.

lookatmybutt · 06/12/2013 16:50

I've got some snail goo skincare products from Korea and they're pretty darn awesome. They're very good if you have blotchy or spot prone skin.

Mizon is a good brand.

OneLittleLady · 06/12/2013 16:51

It sounds pretty gross tbh but maybe it does really work

lifesgreatquestions · 06/12/2013 18:57

I saw an advert for this on tv yesterday and googled it. YUCK!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/12/2013 19:02

One of the ingredients is alcohol, I tried it and it was like putting alcohol gel on my face.

I took it back for a refund and the assistant did a cats bum face.

bettybigballs · 06/12/2013 23:00

I bought a pot, hugely drying in a not very nice way. Must be the alcohol in it. Stingy grimness. Real shame, they do some great products but they've pushed this one because it's quirky.

myroomisatip · 07/12/2013 07:07

Was it the Dr. Organic that you tried Fluffy?

Deathwatchbeetle · 07/12/2013 08:57

Well, won't be trying that then although I mostly love the Dr Organics stuff.
