Talk to me about legs and feet please!

I've been struggling horribly with style (lack of) since having DC (1&4 now).

Have lost weight and am now my normal size 10, stopped breastfeeding so now a 32D, 5'6". I'm 38.

Had my colours analysed when HOC last weekend - I'm, surprisingly to me, a dark winter. I've always hidden in dull browns and khakis!

So, already getting more adventurous on the too half and have been pleased with some smarter things this week (that I already had but never wore).

But I'm struggling with legs and feet. I have trousers for work anyway, which are fine with low heeled black boots. I can afford one more item of footwear (probably). Do I need high boots to be able to wear leggings and tights with tunics and dresses, or do I need shoes? I have really bad feet which are hard to find shoes for - sadly I need wide and comfortable.

What kind of tights? And are leggings okay?

Thanks for reading the essay!

legginsg are fine if you like them. What about a calf length pair of boots? I think, myself, they look good with skirts and dresses with both tights and leggings. Coloured tights can really bring an outfit to life, I like plums, forest greens and burgundy with black or navy.

I didn't think about coloured tights. Have always gone for neutral brown or grey. Is there anywhere good to get them from?

primark has loads of different coloured tights if you want to try them out cheaply. M&S usually has a good selection of colourful tights as well and BHS has some in at the minute but obviously, both of those are more expensive than the primark options.

tkmaxx has a great selection of coloured tights and usually very good brands.... think I should be on commission for them, am always suggesting them!
