Hair colour too dark over highlights - advice to lighten?

Had my hair done today and it had more emphasis on lowlights covering my highlights - I'm trying to manage growing out my roots.
It's too dark though - is there any way I can lift the lowlights? By washing? There's lighter colour underneath?

Should fade quickly, mine does. Try using a shampoo for dandruff, or something like vosene as they will take the colour out more quickly

Ok thank you

Hairdresser told me head and shoulders strips colour pretty fast

I have some thankfully - I just want to lighten it a bit - disappointed as went to exspensive chain salon, had the manager and she really couldn't be arsed.

You could also try a clarifying shampoo. Paul Mitchell does one. I think pantene does to.

My hairdresser told me head & shoulders will strip off colour and fairy liquid!

Thanks everyone
