If you hair is naturally a mousy, dark blonde colour and you dye it, what colour is it now?

My hair is a mousy boring non colour really and I am a bit fed up with it.

I have had it highlighted before but can't justify the upkeep costs atm so am looking to dye it at home (maybe).

I cannot go darker as it will look like I am trying to win exdp back, sounds ridiculous but true and I know it limits my choice but that's the way it is Smile .

Any ideas gratefully received.

Nice and Easy do some nice blond colours that are easy to apply at home.

By easy do you mean fool proof? I'm not feeling very confident about my abilities Grin

Garnier Nutrisse in one of the 8 range for me (currently 8.0). Takes it a couple of shades lighter but not "peroxide-y". Easy to use, I followed a Youtube tutorial the first time and it came out really even and natural-looking. I have past shoulder length hair so need two packs.

I'm a mousy redhead naturally! If that makes sense.

I used lush henna and now I'm a feisty zingy redhead. The colour is more red but the tone isn't that much darker.

I love it. It's natural and doesn't work against my own highlights which show through.

I have more vavavoom now.

You could try the Superdrug wash in wash out (in small grey bottle/pots) start light. I go for one of the blondes, but change around and use lighter ones in the summer.
