Boden trousers - what size am i

I've never ordered anything from boden but they have a pair of trousers that I really want. As Im overseas, I don't really want to have to send the back if they are wrong size, as its not cost effective.

So i'm prepared to take the risk. If I am a size 12 in M&S, what size would i order from boden ?

Does the item have any customer reviews? I find Boden's sizing can vary quite a lot but most of the reviews say wether an item is true to size or not. I find these very useful and haven't had to return anything yet.

check your measurements against the ones they give you for the garment online, also the reviews re sizing up or down

i've had a couple of pairs of jeans and they were big on the hips and tighter on the waist - i'm pretty much straight up and down. So for me there shape doesn't work especially well, or it hasn't in the jeans

It's really hard to say for sure. Sometimes their sizes can come up big, but other times, they're bang on the money.

What are the trousers? Skinnies, wide legs, bootcuts, what?

Depending on the style, it might pay to size correctly or size down.
