Recently had colours done with colour me beautiful. Looking to have hair profffesional re coloured. Currently aged 51 with mid brown hair with highlights. Tend to have hair cut and coloured four weekly to cover grey at roots.
CMB result was that my dominant colouring was is clear followed by cool and deep.
Advice welcomed for colour advice ( feel that redness or brass colouring highlights need to be removed). Will use professional hairdressers for colouring to restore to correct colours for skin tone.
Any information of good colourist in south / West Yorkshire also required.

You might want to pop over on to the hoc winters thread as I'm sure the HoC and CMB assessments are largely the same.

You need something with an ash tone to neutralise and eliminate red.

For maintenance us winters recommend Aveda's black malva range which has a blue base to eliminate redness.

Thank you kosher, I'm keeping an eye on the winter board.
In early stages of adjusting to cool dressing.
I will look at the ash tones.

Momofgirls, I just used perfect 10 in brown to take all the red out of my hair and it has made a hugely positive difference in how I look.
It literally took 10 minutes to do, and the results are brilliant.

I also had some highlights from the summer sun and looked all wrong for my HOC winter analysis. Now I look fabulous, and feel I can just dress in a minute as I'm pulled together iykwim. I got a lovely dark pink sheer lippy as well, and it looks great (wasn't a big lippy fan before).
