Please help me find a work Xmas party dress

Pretty please?

My work is having their Xmas 'do this Friday. In the morning we have to attend a company meeting and then we are going out for lunch and then evening drinks.

I'm drawing a blank and can't seem to think of what to wear that is suitable for a corporate meeting but nice for an evening too.

I'm a size 10-12 5'7 and I'm a bit tummy conscious so nothing that is going to be too figure hugging

Thanks Smile

Have you been to Sainsburys ? They had a nice blue dress in there

PrincessFlirtyPants · 02/12/2013 23:25

Is this the one Valdeeves?

this would be nice with a blazer

or this

Think Blazer over dress is the answer ! You could always cover up any sparkly /lacy bits at neck with a scarf !

smellylittleorange · 02/12/2013 23:30

better £

PrincessFlirtyPants · 02/12/2013 23:33

The lace dress in Mango is lovely, but they don't have a 12 and Mango can be quite small. Sad

Thank you for looking though. Smile

Sorry, I agree that blazer over dress is the key.

I quite liked this but they didn't have it in my size.

What is your budget? what colours do you like? Sleeves?

How would you describe your preferred gong out style??

PrincessFlirtyPants · 02/12/2013 23:41

Up to about £100-£150. Sleeves if its a loose material.

Covered up, demure, classic. boring

I'm an hourglass figure with 34E chest so anything too clingy or low cut makes me feel a bit uncomfortable

Oh good - yes I love that dress but not in my size Sad

Eastpoint · 03/12/2013 06:57

I'm looking at these with interest as I've found dresses to be a nightmare this winter - not very helpful I know. Everything seems to have a round neck which just seems to make my breasts seem shelflike.

cantthinkofagoodone · 03/12/2013 07:06

I'm on my phone so can't link but asos has a gorgeous jumpsuit with a crossback. Blazer & sparkly accessories could work

Pinupgirl · 03/12/2013 10:22

That Phase eight dress would be dreadful on someone with a large bust-will make you look 3 sizes bigger.

Have a look at the Pretty dress company or Deadly is the female-they have lovely fitted dresses than would look amazing with a blazer by day and then a statement necklace for night.

CockBollocks · 03/12/2013 13:53

dress

I bought this for my xmas do, posted it here a few days ago. It is really lovely and very tummy flattering. Asos do next day delivery as well.

CockBollocks · 03/12/2013 13:55

BTW, I'm a 14 and also 34E chest. I have to be careful with high necks like some of the links because they make me look huge.

PrincessFlirtyPants · 03/12/2013 19:21

That dress is lovely cockbollocks but I really not like velvet, sorry. You are right though, I tried the dress on from Phase Eight and I looked very busty.

The search continues...

I really like this ted baker one - www.tedbaker.com/uk/Womens/Clothing/Dresses/IZZIE-Oil-painting-dress-Black/p/107408-00-BLACK

With a blazer - I tried and am similar size and have regretted not getting!
