Just found an old bottle of perfume...

And wondering if it'll still be ok to wear??

It's an opened bottle of Jpg classique, still in the tin and has been in a drawer, must be at least 2 years old.

I know you're probably going to say to just try it but I find if I keep sniffing perfume my nose gets confused so don't trust myself to know if it smells ok ;)
Do any of you keep your perfume going for several years and is there anyway of telling if its off!

I've found Gaultier classique to smell a bit weird if I've had it opened for more than a year but yours may be better if it's been kept in the tin.
Best way to test it is to spray on to a piece of paper or card then come back to it after about 15 minutes. Then you're smelling it fresh and it's easier to judge if it's not actually on you

I'm sure some small shops keep their perfumes this long!

It'll be fine ime if it hasn't been sitting in sunlight.

I have had the same bottle of Chanel for 20 plus years, kept in a drawer in the box. Its fine, but not sure if other perfumes would be.

It is very likely to be fine, especially if it's been kept in a drawer.

It may even be nicer than new bottles - lots of ingredients are being banned now for various reasons. They then get replaced with others which means the scent doesn't smell as it should.

I've worn 50 year old+ perfume with no problems (Le Galion's Sortilege - it's sort of like No.5).

I still have 20 year old perfume. Each is treasured, attached to memories - and smells good.

Tried a squirt last night, its probably ok but I'm not sure I like it. Smells quite sharp and a bit harsh!! Maybe try again today and see how it developes. I thought it was a soft vanillary scent.... :)
